Medical Marijuana Uses

Conditions Covered By Medical Marijuana Laws

Until a Federal Medical Marijuana standard of practice is firmly established, if ever, answering the question "Can Medical Marijuana help me?" will be left solely to the discretion of the individual Medical Marijuana State.

Although most Medical Marijuana States have left much of the final say on which medical conditions could benefit from  Medical Marijuana use to their respective health departments, most Medical Marijuana States have created a list of acceptable Medical Marijuana uses. These uses are clearly part of the law and may not be deviated from by the prescribing Medical Marijuana Doctor.

Since the issue of Medical Marijuana is fairly new for current U.S. State Lawmakers, we can expect that there are going to be many changes to come to existing Medical Marijuana Laws and uses. This will mean some conditions that are currently included and covered by the law will, at some point, be removed, as well as some conditions that are not currently allowed, will be included in the future. Until then we can only tell you which medical conditions we have found in each Medical Marijuana States Law that are covered at the time of this writing.

  3. Anonymous, The consensus around here and from others I have contacted seems to be any Kush Strain should be good. Kush has a reputation for easing nerve pain and should work fairly quick. Please let me know if this helps with your phantom pains and I will include it on my list to help others. If you could include the actual strain of Kush also would be helpful. We wish you the best and hope to hear from you again.

  4. I have been propagating Medical Marijuana for years, but living in the state of Texas has been found to be very hard in convincing our lawmakers the benefits of MMJ. Now I have Cancer ... even my Oncologists wish they could prescribe it for their patients, but "The Law" won't let them.

  5. Woman of Feathers,
I'm sorry to hear that you have Cancer. I wish people everywhere would wake up to the fact that Marijuana is a wonderful pain killer and not just an intoxicant. Then you wouldn't have to suffer as much. Instead, Politicians and law makers close their eyes to the truth in order to please the big pharmaceuticals who want to profit from pain. Where's the profit in letting people grow their own medicine, right? But I guess I have to also give some blame to the voters as well. Some refuse to believe it could be anything but bad. My thoughts are with you and I hope to hear from you again. PS. I like your blogs.

  6. I am going to try a Kush strain per the post for phantom pains. I have arthritis in my back and neck, c5-c6 fusion, and have an L4-L5 protrusion that is compressing on the sciatic nerve in my right leg.

  7. GrissyLover420,

Kush has been reported by Medical Marijuana Patients and others in the Medical Marijuana Field to ease nerve pain more than any other strain. This is not the result of any scientific study but merely as reported. We encourage you to let us know how it worked for you so we may continue to report on the results patients like you have.
Thank you for visiting our site and hope to hear from you again.

  10. Anonymous Dated oct 26,2011,

I'm sorry to hear about your back. I too have back problems but it sounds like yours is much worse. I take care of my pain with the knowledge of my Doctor, by taking the medications prescribed by him but at the lowest amount possible, and I ease the pain with KUSH any kind of KUSH. That is the most relief I get.

I have some bad news and some good news for you. The bad news is that, as you know, Florida does not have Medical Marijuana Laws. The good news is that last week Florida Representative Jeff Clemens introduced Resolution HJR 353, "Medical Use of Cannabis," and I'm sure it will pass the popular vote. Just last week The Gallup Poll reported that a record 50% of Americans polled want to see Marijuana legalized.

I hope this is at least encouraging to you. I tried to answer your question the best way I could.

If you have success with any particular strain, there not all the same, please let us know, we have a hobby of collecting that kind of information and share.

Thanks for placing your comment and let us know if we can help any further.
